Future Plans

Coming soon, in the next couple of months, we have plans for more development of the Britannia - disabled access improvements, a large beer garden, greening-up the outside pavement area with trees and fancy wrought-iron railings. Inside, we’re going to have regular art exhibitions in the no-smoking lounge, and fit out a four table micro restaurant, we're going to provide a wine and cocktail menu, regular live ambient sound DJs at weekends, plasma tv in the sports area, free regular newspapers and magazines, occasional live music.

Further down the road, next summer probably, we're thinking about a reposition of the bar to create a wider, more accessible space, fit double glazed wooden windows to reduce any neighbourhood noise impact, and renew the loos to produce a more comfortable environment in this crucial area for many people - this last will come with the installation of a disabled toilet. Finally an external make-over of signage and lighting should complete the transformation of the Brit into a modern, stylish local pub/bar attractive to all the community.
